Henrietta again

needed to pick up Henrietta again-this time it was because all the other Ladies had already gone inside the coop and it was long after nightfall. She was wandering around in the darkness, but because she is blind there is always darkness. We needed to somehow get her into the coop or else she would be an easy target for a predator, like a raccoon.
So, I spent about 20 minutes with my Mom trying to coax her back into the coop. We walked behind her and tried to lead her to the ramp. It was so dark and we just had one flashlight. It was really important not to scare her because my mom was afraid she might fly over the fence if she got too scared and then it would be so incredibly hard to get her back! In the end, I had to pick her up and carry her back to the coop,it was a long and laborious process but in the end I'm just glad she's safe. :)

Henrietta

Today I picked up Henrietta, the chicken who is blind, and put her on the floor of the chicken coop because she was just staying up on her roost and we didn't know if she was eating and drinking. I placed her on the floor and she went out of the coop, and was eating, and having fun with the other chickens, and digging and stuff.

(My Mom was very thankful for my help and calls me "the Animal Whisperer" 😃)
